Designed and handcrafted in Lucca, Tuscany, the U-Boat Capsoil line represents Italo Fontana’s original breakthrough in fluid immersion watchmaking. The entire electro-mechanical movement is completely immersed in a specialized, low-viscosity oil bath. This liquid immersion completely eliminates internal refraction, creating an astonishing optical effect where the hands and dial appear directly on the surface of the curved sapphire crystal. A dynamic compensation air bubble floats seamlessly across the dial, compensating for temperature shifts while adding kinetic motion to the wrist.
